Last year we officially launched our series of perspective-shifting seminars and discussions by inspiring speakers from around the world. Scratch Talks returns with “eco heroes” at its center and this year, we have an amazing lineup of speakers who fit that description.

For this year’s series, we aim to bring front and center individuals with a cause, who have quietly, without fuss and under their own steam, started movements and initiatives that have had global impacts.

Hear the story of Trash Hero, whose beach clean-ups in Koh Lipe grew and spread vigorously through Thailand, to become a worldwide initiative. Get a glimpse behind the scenes of groundbreaking documentary Plastic Oceans with its director, Craig Leeson and find out why he felt it was so important to make the film, before you watch its screening at Wonderfruit. Learn about the future of money with blockchain expert Mitch DeYoung and explore how the technology can be used with cryptocurrencies to democratize natural capital with Alan Laubsch. And, if you’re interested in how we’ve offset the carbon footprint of Wonderfruit, come and listen to Todd Lemons who saved 65,000 hectares of precious Indonesian rainforest from deforestation. It is his Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve that we have invested into – and you can too!
